The Dutch Historic Series
The Dutch Historic Series is a beautiful rendition of the AKG classic tube mics of the past. The body is powder coated standard in a Cream and finished with a custom badge. GE 6072A tube is included.
The circuit board is a custom-built Plexiglas board with point-to-point construction, with 4% Silver bearing solder.
The circuit in the Dutch Historic Series can either be configured as the AKG C12 or the Siemens SM204 circuit.
The grill offers a longer open area on the head basket. The Chromed head basket is similar to the C12.
The capsule, and transformer can be customized
to fit your needs. |

The C12 is an elegant sounding circuit with a very smooth overall character. When coupled the Beesneez CK12 or the OPR CK12 capsule, the lows are full, highs are smooth and silky. Female vocals absolutely excel on the C12 circuit; as well acoustic guitar and drum overheads are a favored application.
The Dutch Historic C12 microphone uses a Haufe T14/1 or Moby Electonics Historic T14/1 transformer which offers exceptionally warm mids and high frequency response along with a big bottom end.
The Dutch Historic SM204 is a copy of the rare Siemens SM204 microphone made by AKG. The transformer is a faithful recreation of the Henry Radio model 2545 custom wound by Moby Electronics
Two of the best historically accurate CK12 capsules is the Beesneez CK12 and the OPR CK12. These are standard in the Historic Series. These capsules takes the Dutch from great to timeless.
