The Dutch is a beautiful rendition of the classic tube mics of the past. The body is an Apex 460 that is painted standard in a white or satin nickel paint job and finished with a custom badge.

The circuit in the Dutch can either be configured as the C12 or the 251 circuit.

The grill mod option offers a longer open area on the headbasket and less mesh to free up the sound. The headbasket is similar to the C12.  The grill can be either chromed or nickel plated at the customer's request.

The circuit, capsule, and transformer can be customized
 to fit your needs.

The C12 is an elegant sounding circuit with a very smooth overall character and makes for a grand improvement with the stock 460 capsule. When coupled with the JJ12 or the Peluso CEK12, the lows are fuller, the mids are smoother and the high end is ethereal by comparison. Female vocals absolutely excel on the C12 circuit; as well acoustic guitar and drum overheads are a favored application.

The Dutch C12 microphone uses the venerable Tab Funkenwerk T14 (based on the Hiller transformer) which offers exceptionally warm mids and high frequency response along with a big bottom end.

JJ Audio is proud to employ a special tuning method to further warm up and sculpt the Dutch to sound even more like the original C12 by utilizing an old technique long abandoned by modern manufacturing.

One of the best CK12 capsules on the planet is made by Tim Campbell (CT12) and is available at an additional price for installation in the Dutch C12. This capsule takes the Dutch from great to timeless.

ThThe ELA M 251 is a much more aggressive and forward sounding circuit with extended lows and highs with the stock 460 capsule. Definitely a rock star in its own right, when coupled with the JJ12 or the Peluso CEK12, the circuit takes on a totally different guise and presents the user with a very large and full sounding capture that excels on vocals, acoustic guitar and drum overheads.

The Dutch M251 microphone utilizes the Tab Funkenwerk T14 (based on the Hiller transformer) which offers exceptionally warm mids and high frequency content along with a rich low end.

The M 251 circuit is exceptionally pronounced yet elegant and is at home with hip hop artists, RnB singers, instrumentalists and rockers alike.
